Citium
Signs Marketing Partnership Agreement Providing Citium's Promotions
Engine to WebRadio.com Broadcast Affiliates
SAN
JOSE, Oct. 24 -- Citium Inc., an industry leader in promotions
based revenue generating infrastructure technologies, has signed
a major marketing partnership with streaming solutions provider
WebRadio.com. WebRadio.com will now add Citium's Promotions Engine
to the highly selective list of value added services it offers
to over 200 major broadcast affiliates.
WebRadio
affiliates that will have access to Citium's Promotions Engine
include industry giants Westwood One, Clear Channel, Citadel,
Z-Spanish Radio Network, and many others. ``Citium's Promotions
Engine is the perfect tool to expand the stations sales & revenue
opportunities,'' said Hamid Kohan, President of WebRadio.com.
``Our partnership with Citium further strengthens our commitment
to deliver the best non-traditional revenue programs to our broadcast
affiliates.''
Citium
offers traditional media companies robust turn key and custom
promotion solutions delivered to PC and wireless WAP phone users
via the web. Citium's Promotions Engine includes dynamic business
listings, promotions, and micro-pages; which can be accessed and
modified in real time.
Internet
advertising increased 140.6 percent to $4.6 billion in 1999 and
is forecast to increase at a 39.5 percent (compound annual growth
rate), more than quadrupling to $24.4 billion by 2004.
"It's
astonishing how much growth potential exists in the online promotions
category,'' comments Citium founder and CEO, Vivek Gupta. ``Advertisers
continue to have the problem of a finite number of on-air advertising
opportunities, however online promotions, like those offered by
Citium, can offer an expanded product inventory plus a value added
service, increased site stickiness, and additional advertising
program bundling possibilities.'' Plainly put, Citium helps radio
stations to make more money.
More
than 4,600 U.S. radio stations have web sites, a number which
will see a dramatic increase by the end of this year. Radio station
advertising revenue has grown significantly over the last seven
years; totaling $17.7bn in 1999 (an increase of 14.6% over 1998).
